Luxfer’s LCX®-HP (High Pressure) cylinders are the world’s first SCBA cylinders with 5,500-psi operating pressures. Available in 30-, 45-, 60-, and 75-minute sizes, Luxfer’s HP cylinders are on average more than 10 percent lighter than standard SCBA cylinders and nearly 20 percent smaller in overall profile—and they provide the same high levels of toughness and durability as all Luxfer composite SCBA cylinders. LCX-HP cylinders help reduce the weight burden of a firefighter’s total PPE and SCBA ensemble and allow more freedom of movement. Available with the same service times as traditional 4,500-psi cylinders, Luxfer LCX-HP models have similar maintenance costs and are compatible with existing filling and storage infrastructures.
All Luxfer LCX-HP cylinders meet NFPA, NIOSH and SCBA OEM requirements and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
